Pacific Star II

They say that the secret to great photography is just to take shots. Lots and lots of them. Oh how I would love to take such breathtaking photos as those in the Pacific Star II projects! But then again, I would have to be launched into the air and outer space, haha. :)

There are so many photography enthusiasts who launch projects that ultimately end in people like us being awed by the beauty of Earth. Pacific Star II is no exception.

This is the second trip of my home made high altitude weather balloon photography project, Pacific Star.

The balloon was launched at 5:37pm (PST) from Oxnard, CA and reached an altitude of 125,000 feet snapping photos and recording video along the way.

The balloon burst, the parachute deployed, and the payload floated down for 35 minutes, landing near an old olive orchard Northeast of Santa Paula.

  1. Great blog site! I really adore how it truly is straightforward on my eyes in addition to the details are very well written. Quite possibly pondering how I may be notified whenever a brand new article continues to be made. We've subscribed for your rss feed which must do the trick! Have a great day!
